Distress ink colouring

Hi all I havent done a card today as I have been practicing with my distress ink colouring I am still not getting it right but practice practice I still think I am a little to heavy handed with the ink
but hey ho

The first image I have to show you is Christmas hugs magnolia

I used distress inks on this image did ok untill I messed up the background with to much black trying to create shadowing if I had left the black off it would have been ok I also then made it worse trying to fix it lol grrr very annoying when rest of image was ok

I did this one with my distress markers I have watched a few tuts and they seem to be able to blend but it was just not happening to me this is the second image the first was a mess instead of going direct to paper with the pen then blending as this just did not work I scrimbled the ink on to a block then added water I also put a thin layer of water on the bit of the image I was colouring it sort of primed it and blended better. the face is a bit to dark for me and messed up the socks looks like she has been wearing them for a week lol and are very dirty so but hey this was the first attempt in colouring with my distress pens the hair I was very happy with and the blue dress turned out ok

I just wanted to share my journey in colouring with distress ink and pens

hugs Wendy

Hi folks well today I have been playing with Tilda again

So Today I used the above tilda cute I coloured her with Fleximarkers and prisma pencils I am normally a copic girl but wanted to see what the effect was I love soft colours of the fleximarkers the only down side is they are very juicy so you have to be very light on your hand when using them.
The Backing paper is magnolia
I used a inkylicious Dusting brush on the background (not very well I might add lol) then added some liquid pearl dots around her and a splatter of glitter
the flowers are a combo of Mulberry Crafts and my stash which I then added some crackle paint picket fence for that shabby chic look.
I ran a peace of DP though a crimper and then added more picket fence
I also added picket fence around the image and the corners
The lace and bead trims are from my stash
The pin I made my self
The green foliage is a punch
Not sure if you can really see but I also did a smocking stitch around my card in lilac thread.

This is one of my fav tilda projects I have made for a while I really enjoyed making it

I hope you like it to

Isnt she just adorable I love this stamp one of my new fav, I think but will have see when I have inked up the others lol.  I made this card from a 12x12 white card stock and matted with all magnolia papers that I then edged with distress inks. I used a Martha Stewart all around the page punches. The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts, the ribbon and butterfly are from my stash and the little pink charm gem is from Hobby craft.

The image I coloured with copics and prisma pencils and then glittered the dress and headdress it is such a shame that the pic doesnt show of the bling.  this is the wrap I made and attatched to the card so you can tie it closed. I used spellbinders labels 4 to cut out the image.

Card unwrapped

This is the inside of the card I used the punch around the page to put a panel in for sentiment or to write on
I am sorry the pics on this card just dont do it justice. I had fab fun making it and might even do another one lol using a different boarder punch
